save

save—Save the entire current configuration or parts of it to a file.

Command Syntax

save file-path [hierarchy] [overwrite

Options

File Path
file-path 
Path to the directory and filename of the file containing the configuration. It can be one of the following:
• ftp:file-path—Path to a file on an FTP server.
• scp:user@host:file-path 
• /file-path/filename—Path to a file on the local Viptela device.
Overwrite an Existing File
overwrite 
Overwrite the contents of an existing file.
Save the Entire Configuration
save filename
Save the entire configuration to a file.
Save a Portion of the Configuration
save filename hierarchy
Save the specified configuration hierarchy to a file.

Output Fields

The output fields are self-explanatory.

Example Output

Save the configuration to a file:
