update-source

vpn router bgp neighbor update-source—Have BGP use a specific IP address or interface for the TCP connection to the neighbor(on vEdge routers only).

Configuration ► Templates ► BGP

Command Hierarchy

vpn vpn-id
  router
    bgp local-as-number
      neighbor ip-address
        update-source (ip-address | interface-name)

Options

IP Address
ip-address
IP address to use for the TCP connection to the neighbor, in decimal four-part dotted notation.
Interface Name
interface-name
Interface name to use for the TCP connection to the neighbor.

Operational Commands

show bgp neighbor

Example

Configure the IP address to use for the TCP connection to the BGP neighbor:

vm6# show running-config vpn 1 router bgp 1 neighbor 10.20.25.18
vpn 1
 router
  bgp 1
   neighbor 10.20.25.18
    no shutdown
    remote-as 2
