MD5 Authentication
authentication type message-digest message-digest-key key-id md5 encrypted-key

MD5 authentication includes an MD5 checksum in each transmitted packet. key-id can be from 1 to 255 characters. If you specify the encrypted-key in clear text and the text contains special characters, enclose the key in quotation marks (" ").
Simple Authentication
authentication type simple
Use simple, or plain text, authentication for all OSPF protocol exchanges on an interface.
